Propose Changes to Constitution and By-Laws
At our upcoming 2026 AGM, we are tabling a proposed amendment to our Constitution and By-Laws. As per our current constitution, we need to give you 30 days period to review the document, which will be discussed and voted upon at the next AGM. It requires 2/3 acceptance of the voting members for the amendment to be effective.
- The document content has not change drastically. Mainly, it has been a substantial re-structure to improve readability.
- There were several word replacements to enforce accuracy.
- There were a few additions/changes to enforce our core objective.
- All additional/changes are the text in green, which comprise mainly of:
- Implementation of the voting vs non-voting members to the Board of Directors.
- Addition of Convenors for each age group
- Refinement of some Executive Member responsibilities
- Addition of, under specific circumstance, of provision to pay for some positions which are critical for the proper functioning of the league, if a volunteer cannot be found.
- Refinement of the Disciplinary committee purpose and composition.
- Addition of a miscellaneous subcommittee, to be used as required
